JLL has appointed Suketu Shah as its new head of life sciences in its property asset management business.

Shah has a track record of 14 years in the sector working across multiple buildings and previously worked at Pioneer Group for three years, leaving as a director.

JLL describes Shah as being instrumental in expanding companies both nationally and internationally. In his previous role as director of Nottingham assets, he oversaw the management of 300,000 square feet of labs and office space across five buildings.

At Pioneer he increased occupancy levels by over 85% and provided a "dynamic work environment and ecosystem" for over 100 companies, the agency added.

Colin Curnow, property and asset management head of consulting at JLL said in a statement: "[Suketu's] strategic mindset, commercial acumen, and extensive experience in the life sciences sector make him the ideal candidate to lead our life sciences property management initiatives.

"We are confident that Suketu will contribute significantly to further expanding our life sciences portfolio."
