AI Risks and Opportunities for Architects and Engineers
Among the presentations at the 2023 Innovation Rodeo, hosted by Cyclone Energy Group, was a captivating overview of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and how it is emerging within the Architecture and Engineering (A&E) community and CRE professionals. Mark Blankenship, Director of Risk Management for Willis Towers Watson Architecture and Engineering, described opportunities AI presents to the A&E and CRE communities as well as some serious concerns it poses. He explained that the legal landscape for AI is still developing and firms should be cautious and understand intellectual property rights, liability and data security.
